No Frills, All Function

Most software tries to do too much. You end up with features you don’t need and complexity that gets in the way of the thing you actually wanted to do. We think there’s room for something simpler.

So here’s what we’ve been building — three desktop apps under one idea: No Frills, All Function. Each one does a specific job, does it well, and gets out of your way.

PDF Foundry

PDF Foundry

PDF Foundry

Create, merge, and edit PDFs on Windows. Simple and straightforward.

PDF Foundry makes PDFs. That’s it, really. You can create them from any printable document, merge a bunch of files together, pull out specific pages, and rearrange things. It runs locally on your machine — simple and straightforward.

There are plenty of PDF tools out there, but a lot of them come with more than you need. PDF Foundry just does the job.

UniMail Viewer

UniMail Viewer

UniMail Viewer

Open and view .eml, .msg, and .mbox email files. No email client needed.

You know when someone sends you an .eml or .msg file and you’re supposed to… what, open Outlook just to read it? UniMail Viewer fixes that.

It opens .mbox, .eml, and .msg files directly. You can read the content, grab any attachments, and that’s it. No email client needed. It’s useful if you work in IT, legal, or compliance — or if you just got sent a weird email file and want to see what’s in it.

RecurCal

RecurCal

RecurCal

Complex recurring calendar events, made simple. Export to .ics and import anywhere.

Setting up complex recurring events in most calendar apps is painful. RecurCal takes a different approach — you define your rules (however complicated), it spits out a standard .ics file, and you import that into whatever calendar you already use. Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, anything that reads .ics.

Got a fortnightly meeting that skips bank holidays? A rotation schedule? Something your calendar’s built-in repeat options just can’t handle? That’s what RecurCal is for.

Why We Build This Way

These apps aren’t trying to be platforms. They’re not trying to lock you in. They’re just tools — the kind you use when you need them and forget about when you don’t.

We think there’s a real place for focused software that does one thing well. Not every problem needs a big solution, and sometimes the best tool is the simplest one.

Have a look at our products page to see everything, and if you’ve got ideas for tools you wish existed, we’d like to hear about it.
